4 June, 2021, Shanghai – Abbisko Therapeutics Co., Ltd. (“Abbisko” hereafter) today announced the appointment of Mr. Yongyi Li as General Counsel. He will report to Dr. Yao-Chang Xu, Chairman and CEO of Abbisko.

Mr. Li has many years of experience in both multi-national healthcare & pharmaceutical companies and leading international law firms. During the past eight years prior to joining Abbisko, Mr. Li has served as Vice President and General Counsel for Cardinal Health Asia Pac and Eli Lilly China successively. Mr. Li provided legal counsel which was instrumental to Lilly China’s significant business transformation and rapid growth in the past four years, highlighted by seven successful launches, featuring innovative new products ranging from oncology to immunology and diabetes. Under Mr. Li’s leadership, Lilly China legal team won China Business Law Journal’s Highly Commended Healthcare & Life Sciences Team for the past two years. Prior to moving in-house, Mr. Li worked at White & Case LLP’s New York and Beijing office and Latham & Watkins LLP’s Shanghai office. Before Mr. Li started his legal career, he did research on healthy aging at Duke University Center for Demographic Studies. 
Mr. Li obtained both his Juris Doctor degree and his Master of Arts degree in Sociology from Duke University. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Beijing Science and Technology University.
