On March 23, 2017, Dr. Yao-chang Xu, president of Abbisko, gave an invited lecture titled “Building a Promising Drug Molecule and Selection of a Successful Drug Candidate” for the course on Drug Development and Regulatory Science at Peking University Clinical Research Institute. This course was directed by Prof. Yangfeng Wu of Peking University Clinical Research Institute, attended by more than 50 trainees from global pharmaceutical companies, domestic pharmaceutical companies and universities, including inspectors from CFDA. In his lecture, Dr. Xu systematically introduced the whole process of innovative drug development in the early stage in depth and had good interaction with the trainees. Dr. Xu’s lecture was well received by the course organizers and trainees. The course on Drug Development and Regulatory Science co-established by Peking University Clinical Research Institute, European Center for Drug R&D of the University of Basel, Switzerland, and the Center for Drug Development of the School of Pharmacy, University of California at San Francisco, is an international advanced course aiming to systematically introduce the various steps and rules of innovative drug development, from R&D to marketing management.
